Beautycounter’s mission is to get clean beauty products in the hands of everyone who cares about what they put on their body. Every year, thousands of consultants gather together for 3 days of networking, training, celebrations and inspirational guest speakers. Our objective was to plan and produce a 3 day event in San Francisco for Consultants coming from the US and Canada.
The Pivot
When the Covid-19 crisis closed San Francisco 6 days before the show, a massive pivot began. Working together, we confronted a challenge no one had ever seen before. We found a new venue. We redesigned the stage and screen. We reworked presentations. We rebuilt the flow of the entire day around a live stream and hybrid in-person/digital event. In 6 days we re-engineered 6 months of planning to find a solution.
The Outcome
With the transition from an in-person conference to a virtual experience, Beautycounter was able to expand their audience and saw a 50% increase in attendees. The Consultant community that were unable to attend Beautycounter’s in person event were thrilled to have the opportunity to experience the content virtually.
